Bushland House

Tucked away in the bushland of Berowra National Park overlooking the ridges of Muogamarra, towards Dharug National Park, this home embraces its bushland setting and aims to reduce its carbon footprint through solar panel installation and smart home lighting management.

While there is ambition to complete a significant renovation in the years ahead, in the meantime the lighting currently installed in the house draws too much power and provides no character or comfort in the residence.

The design challenge of this residence is to immediately reduce the energy consumption of the residence and create a beautiful and atmospheric lighting design using light fittings that could be reinstalled when the future renovation is undertaken.
